Most interfaces with MIDI seem to be large and have more mic/instrument inputs than I need.Sorry for spamming the thread, but want to make sure I keep it up to date with my progress on this. (I wanted a *small* audio interface with one mic/instrument input and one set of MIDI input and output. I'd *so* like to get my Volt working with my laptop! Or at least my iPhone! It has all the features I was looking for, plus some bells and whistles that I'd love the experiment with. I've been trying to figure this out for two days. (Though I realize the driver itself may also require Windows 10, but I'm curious nonetheless!) Or is there a way to access the official driver without using UA Connect? I've searched all over the UA web site, so I'm assuming there isn't. ![]() The fact that Win 7 even recognizes the Volt by name seems like there might be hope yet!Ĭan ASIO4All be used instead of the official driver that requires UA Connect to access? If so, how do I associate ASIO4All with the Volt? (I'm very much a novice!) ![]() When I turn the Volt on, Windows recognizes that the Volt is connected, (it specifically states "Volt 176" in the "Devices and Printers" window) but indicates that it needs troubleshooting (driver issues, of course.). I did read in the Volt 176 documentation that the Volt is class-compliant, and is supposed to work, albeit with the possibility of more latency. I realize that UA Connect only works with Windows 10, unfortunately. I am running Windows 7, and I'd like to use my Volt 176 on the laptop I use for my music. ![]()
